I’m Mark Alston, a Newcastle-based commercial photographer and motion director working across Newcastle, the Hunter Valley, Lake Macquarie, Port Stephens and beyond.

My background is a little different to a traditional photography studio. Alongside stills, I’ve spent years directing commercials, television, branded content, food and travel series, and campaign work for Australian and international clients. That experience shapes the way I shoot. I think about light, composition, story, brand use, audience and the practical needs of the final images.
